15 Minute Don’t Want to Wash My Hair Workout

Today my hips were tight, I didn’t want to wash my hair, but I still needed to move.  I needed to do it for me, for my stress, for my well-being, and for my body.  If this sounds like you today, this may just be right for you!

What you need: Heavier weights if you have them!

Warm-up: Various moves and stretches!

Workout: Today we’re focusing on moving slower on the moves

  • Slow and controlled weighted lunges, right side:We’re going to change the pace here a little and go down super slow and then come up fairly fast. Do your best
  • Slow and controlled weighted lunges, left side:Same as above on the next side.
  • Slow and controlled weighted squats: Resist the urge to move fast here and move really slow as you move into the squat, and then pop up fast while still having controlled form.  Put a lot of weight into your heels, keep the knees pointing forward, and the back flat.
  • Push-ups We’re going to take it slow on the way down into a push up here so you can really get deep into the chest, while also working the core. Keep the hands wide, the fingers spread, the body forward so your chest falls between your hands, and your hips in line with your shoulders.
    MODIFICATION TO MAKE IT EASIER:  Use your knees, this is totally cool!
    MODIFICATION TO MAKE IT HARDER:  Drop your chest all the way to the ground and lift up your hands so you know you’re really going against gravity on the way back up.

Cool-down: 10 minutes of stretching and cooling off this time!
