25 Minute Deck of Card Workout

T0day we are doing one of my all-time fave styles of working out, Deck of cards baby! Don’t stress if you have never done it before, its super easy to follow

What you will need:

  • Slam ball or Ugi ball, if you don’t have a ball, grab a dumbbell

Warm-Up:

3-4 minutes of dynamic stretching and cardio

 Workout:

I am putting 20 minutes on the clock, where we will be repping our way through each of the 4 moves listed below. I will explain further in the video! Each suit represents one specific move, so for example, if you pull a 6 of hearts, than you will perform 6 ball slams. Each face card = 10 reps and an Ace = 11. Everything else is face value

  • Hearts :Ball Slams– Just like it sounds, grab that ball and start slamming. Remember you are squatting with this move so sink low to really spike the heart rate
  • Clubs : Push ups, or Chest Press – From your knees, toes, or against a wall, but if push ups are not an option for you, perform a chest press, be sure to lift heavy.
  • Diamonds: Squat Jumps if jumping is a little too much, you can modify with body weight squats
  • Spades: Russian Twists, or any ab move that you like ;)

Cool Down/Stretching

  • Complete 5-10 minutes of nice gentle stretching.
