25 Minute Strength and Cardio Deck of Cards Workout

Hey ladies, are you ready to gamble on your fitness? We will be doing a super fun, heart pounding deck of cards work out.

What you will need:

  • Set of dumbbells, anywhere from 3-12 Ibs depending on your fitness level

Warm-Up:

  • 3 minutes of various moves to get that heart rate up and yoiur body warm and ready to crush this workout

Workout:

  • 20 minutes with 4 moves, each move is associated with a suit in the deck, depending what number you pull equals how many reps you do, for example a 7 of hearts would be 7 squat jumps.
    • Ace = 11, and all face cards = 10 reps
  • Hearts= squat jumps, or modify with a squat. Be sure with the jump to land soft on your feet to protect yout low back and knees
  • Clubs – push ups, on your knees or your toes, keep your chest between your hands!
  • Spades – back lunge with shoulder press. Be sure to drive through your front heel as you come up from the lunge to keep your knee protected.
  • Diamonds – plank jacks, or modify with jumping jacks. If in a plank position, keep that booty down and make sur you are in proper plank position!

Cool Down/Stretching

  • Complete 5-10 minutes of nice gentle stretching.
