Healthy & Quick Homemade Burgers | Royally Fit

These burgers are super quick, hugely satisfying, and always a hit with my guests!  Make these even healthier by placing the patty inside of a Ezekiel burger bun (not whole wheat…skip the bloating).  This homemade burger will beat any store bought 100% meat patty any day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp. coconut oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lb extra lean beef
  • ½ cup fashioned oats
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 tbsp Bragg’s All Purpose Seasoning
  • ¾ tsp sea salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions:

  • Warm BBQ
  • Melt oil in a small skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add onion and garlic; cook five minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Transfer mixture to a large bowl and let cool 5 minutes.
  • Add meat, oats, egg, 1/2 cup salsa, sea salt, and pepper to onion mixture and mix well.
  • Make into meat patties and cook to perfection on the BBQ!
