Ugi the Shit Out of Christmas
Print Workout Here

Well, all I can say is Merry Christmas – this is a present from me to you, and its extra special today!  Let’s kick some ass today for our final workout together of 2015.  Today I need 31 minutes of your time and energy.  Let’s do this!!

What you will need:

  • Jump rope + Ugi/TKO ball or Dumbbell

Warm-Up

  • 3 minutes of jump rope

Workout Reps – 45/15
Complete the exercises below consecutively for 45 seconds on and 15 seconds rest, for a total of 4 sets.

  • Burpee w/ biceps – Complete one burpee and instead of jumping up in-between hold a squat while you do a bicep with the ball.  It’s important here to jump your feet back in wide so you’re in a great position to hold a squat.
Modification: instead of jumping, walk your legs in and out of plank
  • Squat and side kick, right – Drop down into a low squat while holding the ball/weight at your chest (this really works your abs and arms) and every time you come up from your squat kick your right leg out to the side to ignite those oblique’s and the side of your butt.
  • Squat and side kick, left – Same as above on the opposite side
  • Full wood chop, right – Starting with your feet hip distance apart, lift the ball up towards the left, and when you bring it down across your body twist right by pivoting both feet and bending both knees nice and deep.
Modification:  If this bothers your lower back, do half wood chops, which means you don’t pivot your feet or twist your body – you just take the weight from the left side above your head across your body to your right hip.
  • Full wood chop, left – Same as above on the opposite side
  • Pop-over push-ups – With one hand on the ball and the other hand on the ground, do a nice low push-up and alternate side to side.
Modification:  You can do this on your knees as well, and if you don’t have a ball just do regular push-ups as many times as you can with great form of course!
  • Plank pushes – If you have a ball, place your elbows on top and then push them forward and back to really work the shoulders and abs.  Watch your form!!  Keep the abs engaged, the hips up in line with the shoulders (you’ll know if they aren’t because it will hurt your back)
Modification:  If you don’t have a ball you can do the push with your toes instead of your elbows and if you must come down to your knees for a rest, that’s cool too!

Get sweaxy!
