25 Minute Drop Set Workout

Y’all know I love a good drop set workout! Grab your weights and lets get ready to burn out the legs and shoulders!

What you will need:

  • Mini band, set of dumbbells

Warm-Up:

  • Included in workout.

Workout:

Drop Set – We have 2 exercises we will be working through in today’s workout. We will start with 20 reps of each move, follow by 18, 16, all the way down to 2.

Exercises:

  • Clean & Press – With one heavy weight set in front of you, squat down and grab the weight with your right hand. Drive through your heels and you return to a standing position and lift the weight up above your head performing a shoulder press. Alternate hands with each rep
    • TIP – if you only have a light weight, do half with one arm and then switch to the other arm to burn out the shoulder a little more.
  • Lateral Side Step with Upright Row – With a dumbbell in each hand (5-10IBS) take a big step to the right, and then another big step back to the left. Holding the weights in front of your thighs, lift your elbows up and out wide so they become parallel with your shoulders. Keep your wrists straight. Lower the weights back down and before another side step.

Cool down/Stretching:

  • Complete 5-10 minutes of nice gentle stretching.
