When we’re young, our parents teach us to dream big, and believe we can be anything we want to be. How do we do this? Well, we pick our favourite teacher, character on TV, or a parent that we think is awesome, and we imitate the things they do that make them so special. How do we do this? We watch what they do, and we do as they do. Monkey see, and monkey do.
Where along the lines of becoming an adult did we lose this capability of dreaming big and believing we can really do something spectacular?!
Now, I often hear people saying “I can never”, “This is impossible” and “Not in this lifetime”.
Well, in what lifetime are you going to dominate then?
This is often heard in my particular field of health and wellness when it comes to weight loss, fitness, and healthy eating. It sometimes feels like negative mental imprinting over the years has taken over your capability to think big, and believe in yourself. I’d like to change that, so let’s start by taking some baby steps, and working on the easy stuff.
If one of your goals is to be one fit chick – then let’s act like a fit chick.
Emulate what you want to be, and soon enough – you will be!
The common denominator in fit chicks is that they eat all day long.
Just take a look around, it’s this habit that usually pisses people off about fit people, “I don’t understand how she can eat all day and not gain a pound”.
Don’t be bitter Betty about this, instead, take a piece of this silent advice from these chicks, and doing as they do! The key to weight loss and maintenance is keeping your blood sugar levels balanced.
How do you do this? Eat all day long. Snacking on healthy foods every 3-4 hours that are balanced in proteins, carbs, and healthy fats is not a diet – it’s eating healthy, and it works. This is the one habit that all fit chicks have, and that’s undeniable.
It doesn’t matter if you haven’t gone over your calorie amount for the day, if you’re blood sugar levels have spent the day out of balance, then you’re destined to hold some weight around your midsection. Adjust to the habits of the people you want to emulate – if you want to be a fit chick, you have to eat like a fit chick. Now go enjoy 5 mini-meals throughout your day, and start believing in yourself like you did when you were a wee-one!
Showing you the difference between liking and loving your body,
